I decided to build an extra rod this year and I’ve called it the Christmas 2021 Rod. It’s one of my usual/favorite 6’8” 3wt Blue Ridge Special 4 piece rods that I’ve given extra attention to detail. I made this one with a mortised Port Orford Cedar dual ring seat with a Ritz style ventilated grip. It has subtle Mahogany colored accent wraps and darkened Snake Brand and Mildrum guides. This rod comes in under 2 ounces and the tube is 22”.
