Fishing

I’ve been able to do a little fishing here and there. All close to home, in the middle of nowhere with no interpersonal contact with anyone that is not on my ‘safe list’. That’s a luxury in these times for sure and I am grateful. I thought I’d share some pics here of some of these outings.

An afternoon with my son Graeme was an especially bright spot. When we got home he said that he now understood why I was tired when I got home from fishing.

Visiting one of my favorite and top secret spots for several weeks in a row has been a real treat. Seeing it go from late winter into full blown spring is good for the soul. The brook trout here have a unique coloring to them. I usually use my little 6’ 2wt there so I built one to match the trout’s usual colors with the accent wraps on the rod.

I can’t really think of any words to go with these pictures so I’ll let them speak for themselves.

By the way, all the good photos here are by my good friend Dave Fason. If you’d like a print of one of these photos or another that you’ve contact him through his website https://www.davefason.com/
