Here’s one of my favorite small water rods ever. It’s a full flexing, full feel blank from my friend Kazutomo Ijuin in Japan. His blanks are top shelf and are so much fun to fish.

I built this one with a ventilated Ritz grip and an amazing piece of hand mortised Cuban mahogany for the seat. The seat hardware is new old stock Kineya darkened nickel silver. The guides are new old stock black Perfection guides.
