Here’s the prototype 6’3” 3wt 3 piece Semi Para I fished while in Montana recently. As with the others in this new Semi Para series, there’s a subtle hinge point about 18” down from the tip and another one near the second ferrule that creates a very smooth and accurate casting rod that and it handles quick point and shoot overhead casts superbly as well as gentle roll casts. Also a great rod where bow and arrow style casts are common! I tested this rod out recently on several Montana small streams and I loved it. This rod is genuinely FUN! This rod fishes very well off the tip to 35’. The production blanks will be no different than this blank.

I built this one a with a top Flor grade cork seat and cigar grip with my darkened brass cap and ring seat hardware. Medium brown wraps over bright Snake Brand guides and a Mildrum stripping guide.
