Here’s the prototype 7’4” 4wt 3 piece Semi Para I fished while in Montana recently. As with the others in this new Semi Para series, there’s a subtle hinge point about 18” down from the tip and another one near the second ferrule that creates a very smooth and accurate casting rod that and it handles aggressive point and shoot overhead casts superbly as well as gentle roll casts. I tested this rod out recently on several Montana small streams and I loved it. This rod fishes very well from about 5’ to 45’. The production blanks will be no different than this blank.

I built this one like an old Winston Stalker with a top Flor grade cork seat and grip with my usual brass cap and ring seat over a For grade cork seat. Medium brown wraps over bright Snake Brand guides and a Mildrum stripping guide.
