This is a current generation black blank Steffen Brothers 7’ 2/3wt 3 piece rod. I built this one with a beautiful Struble agate stripping guide, Snake Brand Universal snake guides with chestnut thread wraps and yellow accent tipping. The seat is made from a piece of koa that came from a guitar builder friend. I hand mortised it to fit a special darkened brass set of old stock Kineya seat hardware. It looks pretty nice! Ventilated Ritz style grip that helps the caster feel the delicate casting stroke and timing with this progressive action.
