I’m trying out a new color for a few of my rods and this one is the first for sale. I’ve cast it a bunch and fished it for one outing but it doesn’t show any signs of use. This is my 6’8” 3wt Blue Ridge Special in a 3 piece configuration identical to my ‘68L’ from a few years ago. It’s smooth and roll casts amazingly.

I miss having a yellow rod in my offerings so I decided to try this new e-glass material. I was hesitant at first but I love it. It’s kinda like Fred Paddock’s amazing Lemon Drop series but not quite as bright. It’s semi-translucent and glows in the sun. As for how it fishes, I couldn’t be happier. Look out for this color for my Driftless Special soon.
