Prototype 7'3"3wt semi para #10-25

Prototype 7'3"3wt semi para #10-25
Here’s a prototype I’ve been working on recently. It’s a 7’3” 3wt 3 piece that has a double hinge idea I’ve been thinking about for a while. It’s somewhat similar to my 6’6” 2wt Gila Special. There’s a hinge point about 18” down from the tip and another one near the second ferrule that creates a very smooth and accurate pocket water roll caster and it handles gentle overhead casts superbly. It’s got that ‘sticky’ Japanese feel to the cast and is light in hand at under 2 ounces. I tested it out recently on a local blue line and I absolutely loved it. It fishes very well from about 5’ to 25’. I plan to make a shorter 3wt version and a longer 4wt version in this same taper over this coming summer. I’ve got more of these blanks coming so I’ll be making more (holler if you’re interested in one of these!) but I figured I’d offer this first one for sale. I’ll be taking one of these to the Driftless spring creeks in June and to Colorado to search for cutthroat in September. It’ll be a perfect cutthroat rod for sure!
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions. I plan to post a casting video soon as well.
