Here’s a fresh-off-the-bench Driftless Special fly rod. This my 7’2” 4wt taper that I designed for fishing in the upper Midwest spring creeks. Deep bending and strong but easily maneuverable and accurate.
I made this one with dark brass cap and ring seat and a beautiful piece of camphor burl for the reel seat, clear wraps over bright snake brand and Mildrum guides.

$825 with my brass capped aluminum tubes. Save $70 if you don’t want a tube (the rod would be shipped in sturdy PVC instead of the alumunum/brass tube.
